From the Bible, the book of Colossians 3:20, it says, "Children, obey your parents in everything, for this please the LORD."
You see, we are all stubborn human beings. At least one point of our lives, every one of us have disobeyed our parents! We have at least said "No" once to them when they asked us to do something that we don't like. Sometimes we think that our parents go over the top in certain areas. We think they don't understand us, and we demand their understanding. But let me tell you something, parents would go over the top to care for you! They love you! But many of us are to blind to see that!
Here's the question: If we should obey our parents in everything, what if they ask us to do something that is against what GOD says! Well, if your parents tells you to kidnap the cute little chubby boy in front of your house, if your parents tell you to steal money from your friends, if your parents tell you to commit suicide, we should be using our wisdom that GOD has given us to decide and say "NO" to the things that is wrong! If it is something that is really wrong, you shouldn't be doing it. But if it's like washing the clothes, wiping the window, go shopping with mum, doing homework or study, then you'll know that it will please the LORD as you obey them!
So to all children in this planet earth who will ever read this, obey your parents while they are still on earth! It doesn't matter if they are 30 years old, 40 years old, or even 80 years old! We have to obey them! GOD gave you wisdom and knowledge, make use of them =)
Light Of The World!
Hello there, world! I'm Yong Zhen Kheng a.k.a King! I'm a 24 young man who has given my life to God! I face plenty of challenges and mountains daily, but it is by the grace of God that I'm able to stand tall with His strength in such a world that we live in. "Light Of The World!" is the name of my blog. Because in such a dark world that we live in, everyone is looking for that something somewhere somehow to fill and satisfy their souls. And that is where the Word of God comes in, where love and hope are always present and living. God is the Light of the world, and my prayer is that we will go beyond the call of duty to show love to the people around us with the love that He has shown us - That they may know just how real and amazing our God is! This is what we're here for: To show the world how He love it. This is what we're made for: To lay it all down like He did :) Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven and earth, with wisdom, power and love, our God is an awesome God! And He has chosen us to be the Light of the world, so come let us share the Good News with the world together! (:
>> Sincerely, a man on many missions.

Be Done With Dirty Language And Foul Talk
Do you have a habit in swearing, cursing, discriminating and putting people down? Here's my advice, "Be Done With Dirty Language And Foul Talk!"
From the Bible, the book of Colossians 3:8, it says "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips."
The verse already made its point, be pure in words!
For me, I am studying Performing Arts in my college. I realize that many actors use a multidute of filthy words to entertain people, make them smile and even to understand something. I choose to entertain people without using any filthy words, dirty language and foul talk! Why do we need to say dirty words to make people laugh, smile, or even understand you?? It's ridiculous! What will people who don't know Christ say about Christians who deliver foul talk from their mouths?
I encourage you to be done with dirty language and foul talk! It's time to step up for the LORD and step down from your pride soldiers in Christ!

Thinking Eternally
Hey there once again! I apologize for my absence. Today, I wanna talk about "Thinking Eternally!"
From the Bible, the book of Colossians 3:2, it says, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
Now, what's the difference between earthly things and heavenly things? Earthly things are our everyday life. They are the things we do daily: our job, our studies, our problems in life, our struggles, our goals, our hobbies, almost everything that you can name! Heavenly things are such as: Building our relationship with GOD, loving other people, helping the needy, being a better person for GOD and many more things the Bible has mentioned!
You see, our minds can be so focused on earthly things that it robs us away from the things God wants us to do! Many Christians are so attached to getting a big house, a beautiful car, a girlfriend, getting a high pay job and getting the special position in a company! Since they are so attached with these things, they forget their relationship with GOD and hence does not stay on track where GOD wants them to be. These earthly things will make us no longer have values that GOD wants us to have!
Allow me to share with you. I am studying acting and directing now. A majority of my Christian classmates swears at other people, discriminate them, make dirty jokes, give rude comments, taunt people and allow their pride to swallow them! Some of them even tell me, "I'm a lost Christian". Of course you're a lost Christian when you don't balance out your time with GOD! What's the point? What do you tell people "I'm a Christian" when you don't live the way GOD wants you to live??
We can put our minds on earthly things, but we need to balance it out! If God is first in our lives, then we don't need to worry! But if He isn't the first in our lives, we need to look at our lives and see what earthly things are we too attached to!
As for me, I was a slave to emotions. Everytime when a certain emotions fills me, it somehow consumes and controls me. But I figured out it's time I take a step foward and move on!
Soldiers of Christ, I encourage you to think of heavenly things and not earthly things! Living eternally with Him is more important than living for now! =)
