Light Of The World!

Hello there, world! I'm Yong Zhen Kheng a.k.a King! I'm a 24 young man who has given my life to God! I face plenty of challenges and mountains daily, but it is by the grace of God that I'm able to stand tall with His strength in such a world that we live in. "Light Of The World!" is the name of my blog. Because in such a dark world that we live in, everyone is looking for that something somewhere somehow to fill and satisfy their souls. And that is where the Word of God comes in, where love and hope are always present and living. God is the Light of the world, and my prayer is that we will go beyond the call of duty to show love to the people around us with the love that He has shown us - That they may know just how real and amazing our God is! This is what we're here for: To show the world how He love it. This is what we're made for: To lay it all down like He did :) Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven and earth, with wisdom, power and love, our God is an awesome God! And He has chosen us to be the Light of the world, so come let us share the Good News with the world together! (:
>> Sincerely, a man on many missions.

With Everything

With Everything, With Everything!

Have you ever get this feeling in your heart that however loud you scream, and however high you lift your hands, it won't be enough. It's like you need a megaphone and a huge ladder to climb to show God just how thankful you are to Him. Your voice and raised hands aren't nearly enough to show your love.

So dear servants of Christ! Give Everything you have to the Lord, for the Lord is good! And the Lord knows your wants and needs even before you ask Him! Dear servants of Christ! Commit everything you do to the Lord, for the Lord knows your future! Always remember: That our God reigns forever and ever and ever! There is none before, and none beside Him! He is the Almighty God, and the everlasting God! The Creator of the heavens and earth! And of all living creatures! With Everything, With Everything!

Give Him your all, With Everything! And go, change the world with the love and grace that He has given you! God bless you =)

LifeGame 2011

I attended a Youth Camp that was organized by the LifeTeam Committee headed by Pastor John Kwan. He's the designer of the game and started the entire program. LifeGame is basically a fun event (Training Program) to help anyone to discover their life's purposes. It doesn't matter what background you came from, how old you are or even how busy your schedule is. Your job, is just to sign up for LifeGame and let it take you on a ride to discover your life's purposes!

I have a responsibility not to reveal any information about LifeGame, but to encourage you to join it if you want to have fun and discover your real purpose in life.

After 4 days 3 nights (31st October - 3rd September), God taught me plenty of important stuffs. During the 2nd day of LifeGame, I was sick and skipped almost the entire day's program. And while I was in my room resting from my high fever, my perspective of life changed through a sudden realization: "Although I had high fever and had to skip an entire day's program, I thank God: for life."

Few things I learned through the entire camp were these:
(a) We need to have a sense of urgency for God. Romans 10:14-15 says, "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”'

(b) Are we willing to let go, and let God? When the time comes where God asks you to leave everything behind to be a missionary, evangelist, or any of those things, are you willing to leave everything behind and follow the Creator of the universe with faith trusting that He will guide you every step of the way?

(c) Is God your top priority? Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Now, this verse stands out in EVERY area of our lives. I'll name some common ones, things you are going after or having a desire to have (Relationship, Marriage, Car, House, Child, Business, Studies, Games, Fellowship with friends, Acceptance) and basically many other things. The fact is, yes it's important to have these things to accompany us while we are on planet earth. But how much will be enough for you? We will always say, "I just want a little more". Nothing will ever be enough for you, and you will never be contented in having the things of this world. When God comes, a majority of us will be all so busy with the things of this world - And we will forget our true calling: All of us here today are sent to preach the Gospel.

As for me, when I look back at my life, I realized I was prepared for this. All these while, God was training, building and molding me into the character of His liking. He doesn't want me to follow the crowd and let pride lead me, but to be a different person and let the Creator of the universe lead me. What spoke to me loudly was this, "Kheng, I want you to go all out for me!" The 1st time He spoke to me clearly about this was during my previous Youth Camp 2010 - A.R.M.Y where I was serving as the camp commandant. The 2nd time He spoke to me clearly was when I attended a concert "Coalition 58" in DUMC during August 2011. And through this LifeGame camp, he spoke to me the third time, He said, "Kheng, I want you to go all out for me!" During the alter call, I cried so hard unable to lift myself up and get to the front because I was holding so many things back in my life. I wanted to get a good education, a good job, a relationship, and so many things; I just wanted to do things my way. And finally, He has broken that wall and as I crushed the polystyrene cup in my hand, I stood up and walked forward and knelt down with full of heavy tears in my eyes, telling Him that I'm ready, I'm ready to let go of everything I've held on to, and let Him lead me into the unknown. It's so scary, yet exciting. The only thing I could do, is to just simply smile :)

Why did I realize that I was prepared for this? Because my entire life was made for it! I was such a cruel person but He changed me inside out completely. I used to tease people, insult people, use cruel words, and a multitude of sinful things, but He changed me. Through plenty of heartbreaks, through my "Mat Rempit" robbery incident, through my lung operation in the hospital, through my SPM with memory loss, through my National Service with The Best Trainee Award, through my University and up till now, through all the people I've met in life and have impacted in their lives, I learned plenty of life-long values. And I believe we all have learned through our experiences in life too.

I believe it's time we begin sharpening our skills and tools we have for God by serving in church, serving the people around us, going for seminary and theological classes, and preparing for our eternal life. Wouldn't it be better to invest your time in the kingdom of heaven by preaching the Gospel, helping the poor, the needy, the hurting, the lost, the broken, the widows, the fatherless, the sick, the lame, and people who needs love? than to invest in the things of this world that we can't even bring to heaven?

Matthew 16:24-28 says, "Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done. Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”'

Matthew 7:13-14 says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

My brothers and sisters in Christ: Let us go beyond religion and the call of duty to seek and save the lost as well as those who have wandered from the faith. Don't ever get too focused on the material things of this world and lose your focus on Jesus Christ! We were meant to live for so much more! Remember, Jesus Christ died for all mankind, will you give someone a chance to get into heaven by preaching to them?

- And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? -

P.S: We want more than this world's got to offer :)
