Light Of The World!

Hello there, world! I'm Yong Zhen Kheng a.k.a King! I'm a 24 young man who has given my life to God! I face plenty of challenges and mountains daily, but it is by the grace of God that I'm able to stand tall with His strength in such a world that we live in. "Light Of The World!" is the name of my blog. Because in such a dark world that we live in, everyone is looking for that something somewhere somehow to fill and satisfy their souls. And that is where the Word of God comes in, where love and hope are always present and living. God is the Light of the world, and my prayer is that we will go beyond the call of duty to show love to the people around us with the love that He has shown us - That they may know just how real and amazing our God is! This is what we're here for: To show the world how He love it. This is what we're made for: To lay it all down like He did :) Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven and earth, with wisdom, power and love, our God is an awesome God! And He has chosen us to be the Light of the world, so come let us share the Good News with the world together! (:

Be Open To Spiritual Things

Dear soldier in Christ, I'm going to talk about a simple verse that tells us to "Be Open To Spiritual Things"!

From the Bible, the book of 1 Thessalonians 5:19, it says "Do not put out the Spirit's fire;".

Now, this verse is short and simple, and it has a meaning. What does it mean to not put out the Spirit's fire? That means we do not close ourselves from spiritual things, but instead we open up ourselves to spiritual things! I remembered once I didn't really believe when my Christian friend told me there this world we live in are full of spirits! There are only 2 faction of spirits that lives around us; one is the evil spirits which everybody knows. And the other is the Holy Spirit that lives within us! But what about our human spirit? It's actually not called human spirit, but rather human soul! That's why the Bible says when we die, our soul will be separated from our body and we will meet Him on Judgement Day!

Back to my point, for many people, whenever they hear somebody prophecy, they will be like "What? That's crap, I don't believe in that man because he doesn't look like a person who prophecies." But what if God was actually speaking to His heart to speak to you? We have to be open to spiritual things, and test them with God's word of course!

I encourage you to heed this final instruction from the apostle Paul, be open to spiritual things!
