Light Of The World!

Hello there, world! I'm Yong Zhen Kheng a.k.a King! I'm a 24 young man who has given my life to God! I face plenty of challenges and mountains daily, but it is by the grace of God that I'm able to stand tall with His strength in such a world that we live in. "Light Of The World!" is the name of my blog. Because in such a dark world that we live in, everyone is looking for that something somewhere somehow to fill and satisfy their souls. And that is where the Word of God comes in, where love and hope are always present and living. God is the Light of the world, and my prayer is that we will go beyond the call of duty to show love to the people around us with the love that He has shown us - That they may know just how real and amazing our God is! This is what we're here for: To show the world how He love it. This is what we're made for: To lay it all down like He did :) Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven and earth, with wisdom, power and love, our God is an awesome God! And He has chosen us to be the Light of the world, so come let us share the Good News with the world together! (:
>> Sincerely, a man on many missions.

God Is Creative When It Comes To Getting Our Attention - Even If It Means Making Donkeys Talk

Good day warriors of Christ! Today, I would like to talk about our Creative Inventor a.k.a God who is so creative that He would do anything just to get our attention towards Him, even if it means making donkeys talk!

Have you read about Balaam's donkey? Well, here it is.

From the Bible, the book of Numbers 22:21-28 says, "Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the princes of Moab. But God was very angry when He went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to opposed him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, she turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat her to get her back on the road. Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path between two vineyards, with walls on both sides. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she pressed close of the wall, crushing Balaam's foot against it. So he beat her again. Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam, and he was angry and beat her with his staff. Then the Lord opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, 'What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?' "

Wait a minute, did the donkey just opened its mouth and talked? Well yeah, it actually did! If you notice, it was God who opened the donkey's mouth to talk to Balaam! Now who would have ever thought of that? That's just beyond our imagination to even comprehend it! And only God can do such amazing things! God is super creative! And guess what, God did that just to get Balaam's attention!

Here's an encouragement, when you start lashing out at other people (or donkeys, in Balaam's case), it's a pretty clear sign that something's wrong inside you. The quicker you figure out what the problem is, the more likely you are to save yourself the embarrassment of having to apologize later =)

In conclusion, God is creative when it comes to getting our attention, even if it means making donkeys talk! So what are you waiting for? It's time to get right with God and put your trust in Him, don't wait till He makes another donkey talk =)

God Is A "Warrior"

Good day commissioners of Christ! Today, I would like to talk about God the "Warrior"!

From the Bible, the book of Exodus 15:3-4 says, "The Lord is a warrior, the Lord is His name. Pharaoh's chariots and His army He has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea."

Exodus 15 is a song, where Moses and the Israelites sang to the Lord. They were declaring the power of the Lord after what He has done for them.

Wait, where is this leading? Well, it's leading to that part where you find out that nothing is impossible for God! If you read my previous post, I was talking about how God secured the road for the Israelites and completely wiped out Pharaoh's army into the sea! Well, this verse talks about God as a warrior, reminding you of what He did at that time!

The thing is, you don't have to see a wall of cloud, a wall of fire and the sea split apart to know that God is truly who He says He is! God is a warrior in every way you can imagine! God doesn't just work in BIG ways, He also work in small ways too! Time has changed, and we most probably won't see the ocean split apart for the coming days. But if we analyze and observe our life as it is, we'll find that God has actually fought for us a lot! The only reason why we even came to know Him was because He fought for us! God loves us so much that He was willing to send Jesus to die for us! Phew! That's a huge sacrifice for the entire humankind!

And guess what? God will still fight for us even today when we stand right in His eyes! Of course He's not going to fight for you if you're sinning or doing what's wrong in His eyes! But He has promised to guide you through tears and joy for the rest of your life when you put your trust in Him!

- Nothing is impossible for God -

God Is Fiercely Protective Of His People And Rescues Them When They're In Trouble

Good day knights of Christ! Today, I'm going to talk about how God always protects and rescues His people when they are in trouble!

From the Bible, the book of Exodus 13:17 - 14:31 talks about how God cared, protected and led the Israelites in the wilderness.

He guided the Israelites through the safest routes, provided them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night so that they could travel by day or night, opened the sea for the Israelites to walk through dry land and completely wiped out Pharaoh's army! All the Israelites had to do was just to trust in God! It was that simple!

You see, there's a lot of unanswered questions like:
(a) But why do bad things happens to good people?
(b) I trust in God, but why isn't He delivering me out of this circumstance I'm going through?
(c) I've gone through terrible things in my life, and I don't see God's rescue at all, where is He?

Well, I don't have all the answers for you; but I assure you that when the time is right, God will show you why He's God after all!

I'm just an average guy doing what I do everyday. I've gone through emotional heartbreaks, lung operation, robbery, bully, financial difficulties, family problems and so many more stuffs! It's like if you name it, I most probably have something similar to that! But hey, if I'm still standing here today; still able to write this post to encourage you, then doesn't this tell you that God rescued, protected and guided me all the way till here today? Because He did!

I just want to encourage you, if you're going through some really difficult problems in your life - Hold on to God and let Him show you His wonders! God works wonders, and He does it at His perfect timing! We may not see it happening now, tomorrow or even next week. But when it does happen, you'll understand why He's God in the first place - Because God is fiercely protective of His people and rescues them when they're in trouble =)

- Help is on the way, just hold on a little longer -

God Created Women And Invented Sex

Good day commanders of Christ! Today, I'm going to talk about women and sex as God's creation!

This post is especially for the men, men of all ages! But of course it's for women too! Yes, you know what I'm talking about!
To the men: I believe we all look for romance from a girl/lady/woman, and wants to be loved back. Well, here are some facts before you even get together with her!

From the Bible, the book of Genesis 2:20-25 says, "So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame."

You see, God created woman from the man for the man. Of course, not for his evil desires but to help him in every good way! Man and woman, it's one of the most marvelous creation God has ever created! Just imagine today if the world doesn't have any women, wouldn't it be weird? Yes it would be! And of course it goes vice versa: Without men on earth, it's going to be weird too!

The Bible talked about how a man will leave his parents and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Which means, both men and women will leave their parents, get married to one another and live together for the rest of their lives! God invented sex for both men and women so that they both will continue to bear offspring and live on this planet!

Question:
But... I really love her and she really loves me back, can't we have sex already?

Answer:
Well, it's definitely a no that you can't have sex with the opposite sex, only if you're married to one another! You see, temporary physical hookups always leave at least one of the people involved feeling unsatisfied, insecure, hurt and vulnerable! That's not the case with God's design for a real relationship with someone of the opposite sex! How great is sex - that is, sex within marriage? Not only it is part of God's plan for experiencing true love, but it also keeps the human race going! And yes, God made it enjoyable too!

If you're going after that specific girl just for sex, then you had better forget it. Love is a commitment to one another, a commitment that goes beyond the physical looks! Love and sex isn't the same =)

God created women and invented sex for a good purpose, that we can treasure and cherish it when we get married to our life partner =)

God Has Freedom To Choose - And Has Given That Same Freedom To Humans

Good day servants of Christ! Today, I would like to talk about the freedom that we all have!

From the Bible, the book of Genesis 2:15-17 says, "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die,' "

You see, God has the freedom to do anything He wants! And of course, He has also given us the same freedom to choose and do anything we want in our life. At the Garden of Eden, God could have just banish and hide the tree of knowledge so that Adam wouldn't have to eat any fruits from it and live forever, but He didn't. He let Adam choose whether to listen and follow what God told him, or to ignore His advice and eat the fruit from the tree.

This freedom that He gave Adam thousands of years ago, is the same freedom that He has given both you and me! We are able to choose and do anything we want in our lives. But don't forget that God is always carrying us upon His shoulders. Whenever we fall in our lives because of the mistakes we make, God will always carry us back up! We just gotta believe and trust in Him =)

In conclusion, the freedom that God has given you - Use it to do what is pleasing and right in God's eyes =)

God Gave Humanity The Adventure And Responsibility Of Caring For The Earth

Good day battle troopers of Christ! Today, I'm going to talk about us having the responsibility to take care of our planet!

When I was much younger, I actually had many questions about mother nature. One of them was, "Did God ask us to take care of this planet?" And of course, soon enough I learned that it is our responsibility to take care of the planet!

Does that mean that I can't drive my car anymore? But I'm a woodcutter and I cut trees, what now? Well, no I'm not saying that we should completely cut off from driving cars and cutting trees down. You see, this planet took super long to become what it is today, and it's going to take hundreds of years to grow back to its natural state! This calls for a balance! What does balance have to do with this? Everything! Maybe if we stop over-cutting trees on our planet, start car-pooling with each other, yada-yada and so many more little things we can do to help reduce the amount of damage we've already done to the world! I believe we can help this world heal itself slowly when we take care of it!

I'm going to write out a long passage. From the Bible, the book of Genesis 1:27-31 says, "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.' Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground - everything that has the breath of life in it - I give every green plant for food' And it was so. God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning - the sixth day."

Let us analyze it slowly, God created the earth brilliantly, He is such a Genius that it was all His idea! And I believe He created planet earth for us men and women to live in! He didn't create it for us to destroy it! He told us to be fruitful and increase in number (Multiply), and fill the earth and subdue it! Subdue means conquer, God asked us to conquer the world which also means taking care of it! What do Prime Ministers, Presidents, Generals, Leaders do? They not only conquer the nation/army/team, but they are also asked to take care of them! God made everything for us, and asked us to tend His creation! So it's time we think twice and ask if we are tending His creation or ruining it!

It is an adventure and responsibility that God has given to each and every one of us to take care of our planet earth. If the earth dies, what will happen to us? But if the world lives longer, so will humanity! Come let us take care of the world together =)

With Everything

Welcome back brothers and sisters, today I want to talk about loving God with Everything.

To love God with Everything, how do we do that? Well, that's what we're going to discuss about today!

From the Bible, the book of Mark 12:30 says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."

The verse tells us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Phew! That's going to be a tough call for us to do, based on the fact that we are all sinful creatures. But here's the catch, it can be done! But how?

You see, when Jesus was walking on our planet 2000 years ago, even Satan wanted to make Him fall. But Jesus always used Bible Scriptures to repel Satan, and of course He was always thinking eternally far beyond that situation! So what do we do?

A good step we can take is to read the Bible and memorize Bible verses, this way when temptation comes we can exercise the Bible verse to help us to be victorious in every situation. For me personally, every time when I feel down, depressed, stuck, or even lost, I would remind myself with Bible verses and always know that He is God.

For example, whenever I am emotionally down, I would remind myself from:
Matthew 6:8 which says, "...your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
Joshua 1:9 which says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Matthew 6:33 which says, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

And of course, I would remind myself of the prophecies He gave me a couple of years back while I was still serving in National Service, "The Lord your God will guide you every single step of your life."

Loving the Lord your God with everything takes time and effort! It's not a One-Night Magic! It's years of growing in the Lord and learning from your mistakes! At least that's how it was for me, and I'm still learning daily! Our faith is always growing!

Listen, we will fall once in awhile. We are not perfect, in fact nobody in the Bible was perfect at all! All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! But it is not whether we fall, it's whether we get back up after we fall!

To love God with everything means putting Him first in every areas of your life! No it's not going to be easy, but rest assured because when God takes the lead in your life, you know you're on the right track!

Sometimes what we want isn't always what we get. But most of the time, what we get is always better than what we want =)

I just want to encourage you to keep clinging on to God and loving with WITH EVERYTHING! =)

God Is A Revolution God

Good day armed warriors of Christ! Today, with the help of my Study Bible I'm going to show you that God is a revolution God by referring to 50 passages from the Bible! Yes there is more, but 50 would be good for now =)

What is God like? Most guys think of Him in pretty shallow terms: "the man upstairs," a cosmic grandfather, a heavenly drill sergeant! Umm, yeah... not quite! The fact is that God is so much more amazing, adventurous, wild and powerful than any human can ever imagine! Comparing Him to earthly images of what we consider cool is useless! How could the most extreme rock climber be more extreme than the One who created him? How could the strongest inside linebacker be stronger than the One who gives him strength? How could the best guitar player understand his instrument more than the One who created music? Would you want to know who God really is and what He can do? We'll begin with the 1st passage! Let us begin with the book of Genesis!

When was the last time you actually realize something amazing and incredible about God's creation? When was the last time you actually told God that you are just amazed at how He made the world?

From the Bible, the book of Genesis, the entire chapter of 1 and 2 describes that God created the whole word out of nothing... nada... zilch (which means nothing!) God is so incredible that He created the heavens and the earth, light and darkness, the sea and the land! Not to forget, He also created both you and I and everything that we now have! Isn't He such an awesome Creator? Well yeah, He is! Do read Genesis chapter 1-2 again and see how he created the entire world!

I just want to encourage you to see the world as God's creation, because it is! God is so mighty and great that He created the entire world out of nothing! =)

Trust In The Lord At All Times

Hey there army of Christ! Today, I would like to talk about trusting the Lord even you can't see what's ahead of you!

From the Bible, the book of Proverbs 3:5-8 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Today, while I was feeling emotionally down about some issues in my life, this verse came to me like a gust of wind! It was reminding me to trust in the Lord despite the fact that I can't see what's ahead of me! Of course, I had my doubts, but I knew that I needed to stop doubting and just trust in the Lord because He knows what's ahead of me!

Here are a few more Bible verse to encourage you to trust in the Lord at all times!

Psalm 55:22 says, "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.

1 Peter 5:7 says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."

1 Phillipians 4:19 says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus."

2 Corinthians 9:8 says, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Matthew 6:8 says, "... for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."

Matthew 6:34 says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

Psalm 16:8 says, "I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

Listen, it's not easy to just trust in the Lord. It was never written in the Bible that life is going to be easy, nor did it write that trusting in the Lord is going to be easy. But sometimes, we just got to have faith and believe that God will guide us through the toughest seasons of our life! Be it emotional or spiritual dryness, God will lead us every step of the way as long as we trust in him!

Just trust Him in everything =)

50 Ways To Be Radical For God

Hey there brave soldiers of Christ! Today, I just want to encourage you to be radical for God! As you have seen from all the previous posts that I have written, they are all different ways to be radical for God, if you did notice! When you mash them up together, you'll find at least 50 ways to be radical for God! So do take the time to go through all the posts that I have written in my blog, or at least for now, I hope you'll be encouraged and perhaps learn something from them too =)

Live As Though Everything You Possess Actually Belongs To God... Because It Does

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today I would like to talk about living as though everything that you possess actually belongs to God... Because it does! Allow me to explain it from a few verses.

From the Bible, the book of Psalm 24:1 says, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."

You see, it is even written in the book of Genesis and John that God created everything even the universe itself!

John 1:1-5 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

John 1:14 says, "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

So yeah, it's pretty clear to understand that everything we have actually belongs to God! From your clothes, to your house, to your intelligence and wisdom, to your everything! It's not because of who we are, what we did or how we did it; but it's because of what the Lord is and who He is =)

Memorize Scripture As A Shield Against Sin

Good day fighters of Christ, today I would like to talk about memorizing the scriptures as a shield against sin!

From the Bible, the book of Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

I believe this verse is as direct as it is. The only way we can avoid sinning against God is to memorize Bible verses and keeping them in our hearts and mind all day long! You see, our strength and faith is found in Him! The only way we are going to live a pure and blameless life is to live according to God's Word! When we memorize Bible verses, the Holy Spirit will remind us these Bible verses the next time you are about to do something you're not supposed to do! I'm speaking from experience. He is our strength, strength like no other =)

I just want to encourage you to memorize Scriptures as a shield against sin, it really helps =)

Obey Christ's Commands Regardless Of What Others Think Or Say

Good day troopers of Christ! I hope you're doing great! Today, I would like to talk about obeying Christ's commands regardless of what others think or say!

From the Bible, the book of Psalm 119:51 says, "The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law."

Have you ever been mocked by a friend for obeying God? Maybe they invited you to do something that would ruin your life, but you knew it was not right in God's eyes and you turned down their offer? Whatever circumstances we face, we must always obey God's commands! You might lose some friends for obeying God, but hey, what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? The Lord knows your heart and will reward you as long as you keep His commands in your heart and practice them =)

Psalm 119:9 says, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."

This one is for guys: One of the most difficult tasks for Christians guys is to remain sexually pure. There is temptation at every corner. Whether you're 15 or 50, you will always encounter the pressure to give in. But David's words in Psalm 119:9 are a good reminder of how to remain pure. To live according to His Words!

Hence, I would to encourage all of us to obey Christ's commands regardless of what others think or say about us! And the only way we can obey His commands is to live according to His word! Remember, God is very real at all times! All the best in your journey of life =)

Ask God To Search Your Heart, To Show You Where You Need To Change

Good day my brothers and sisters in Christ, today I would like to talk about asking God to search your heart, to show you where you need to change in your life!

From the Bible, the book of Psalm 139:23 says, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."

What would God find if he searched the contents of your heart right now? Would He discover any grudges against people who've ticked you off this week? For guys: Would He observe any lust for girls who are in your classes or elsewhere?

The good news is that no matter what evil is lodged in your heart right now, God can blast it out! If you're willing to let Him sweep out your heart, He will transform it into the kind of place He'd like to live!

Are you ready to open up your heart to God? Are you willing to ask God to search your heart and show you where you need to change? I believe that when we are willing to take this first step in asking God to change our hearts, our lives will be transformed and we will no longer live under the power of sin but will live with liberty! We will not be stuck under the power of sin and the foolish traps that Satan has set for us, but we will live in freedom! There's freedom in the Name of Jesus =)

I just want to encourage you to ask God to search your heart, to show you where you need to change in areas of your life! Remember, God loves us and is willing to forgive us as long as we repent! =)

The Gift

I opened up my Bible and there lies a bookmark in one of those pages. It reads, "Earning Salvation the world's way is impossible to do. Man tells us to be better; Jesus asks us to be new. - Helen Campbell"

Did you understand what was written in the bookmark? It reminds us that the only way to be saved is to be new in Christ! Yes Jesus has died for all of us and He has already given us Salvation. But we have to be new in Christ!

What does it mean to be new in Christ? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!" It simple means that our old desires, all our sinful and dirty desires should be thrown away and we should live a life that is pleasing to God!

You see, the world will always tell us that we are not good enough, that we need this and that to be good! The world will constantly instill fear into us! The world will also give you rest temporarily and leave you unsatisfied in life after that! Yes we are born in this world, and we have all fallen short of the glory of God as we are sinners. But I believe that if we take the first step in looking to God for comfort and strength in our lives, we will be secured in Him! God is our security, and He knows all our needs and desires even before we ask Him!

1 Peter 5:7 says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." God really cares for you, and he is just waiting for you to trust Him to guide you in your life! All we have to do is trust Him, we have to be still and know that He is God! When you cast all your troubles, worries and disappointments in life to Him, you will find that amazing peace which the world cannot give you.

John 14:27 says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." I'll share to you based on my experience, that the peace God gives is unlike the peace that the world gives! There is always going to be difficulties in life crushing us down, but fear not for the Lord will always be here with you!

Joshua 1:9 says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." All the way God will lead us, so be strong and courageous my brothers and sisters in Christ! He will guide you every single step of your life, all you have to do is just trust His decisions!

I just want to encourage you. until we learn to trust God and let Him be the Leader of our lives, only then will we find rest and peace in our lives. All the best in your journey of life =)

God's Love Reigns Forever And Ever

God created the heaven and the universe. There are countless galaxies in the universe and his love is as vast as the universe.

No matter how many times you fail in life, God's amazing love, grace and mercy is always there for you. His love has lasted for generations throughout the ends of the world, and He loves all of us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for us. So when you feel like giving up, when reality hits you hard and you just don't want to live on, when it feels like your life is in a mess and you don't know what to do, just look to God and tell Him everything. He would really love to hear you talk to Him, and would want to tell you things too! When you've made countless mistakes over and over again, get back up and seek forgiveness from God. Remember, God created you because He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you.

Let Him be your Guide, Let Him be your Leader, Let Him be The One you turn to when you need anything! Because when we prioritize God in every areas of our life and let Him show us the way, at the end of the day we can joyfully say that "All the way my Saviour leads me"!

When you feel insecure,
Remember that God is your only cure,
In Him you'll find your victory,
So sing to Him a new melody.

Stay strong in the Lord my brothers and sisters in Christ, for God's love reigns forever and ever. When you feel as if you have lost everything in your life, remember that you still have God in your life. All you have to do is just believe =)

Live Life Like A Beacon Of Light On A Mountain

Good day armada of Christ! Today, I want to remind us about shining for Jesus! I really love this verse because it's talking about us being the light of the world, which also supports my blog's title too (Light of the world)!

From the Bible, the book of Matthew 5:14-16 says, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven."

First of all, the ultimate question is who are we living for or (What do we live for)? Are we living for God? Are we living for the girl next door? Are we living for money? Are we living for our selfish desires? Or are we living for other things in the world I did not mention about? You see, until we learn to live for Jesus only then we can be the light of the world!

What does it mean to be the light of the world? That means to live for Jesus by doing good to others, serving others, loving one another so that the world will praise God, telling the world about the Truth that Jesus has risen from the dead and all we got to do is believe in Him! We are to be the light of the world by shining for Jesus!

What does light do? Light vanquishes darkness, it removes darkness and where there is light, there cannot be darkness.

When you try to walk in darkness without any light, you will stumble around and you won't be able to see where you are going. You will not be sure of where you are at! Which is why you need the light. This is how our world is. Our world is broken, it is a dark world full of sin! It stumbles around without hope and without God, always looking for something else to live for. Which is why what our sinful-dark world needs is light!

Are you willing to sacrifice some of your behaviors, commitments, lifestyle in order to shine for Jesus and be the Light of the world? Are you willing to give Him your entire life to praise Him? Are you wiling to shine like stars and hold out the Truth in the darkest place? Will you deny yourself and take up the cross to follow Jesus?

I believe with the strength of God we can all shine for Jesus! God must be the top priority in every areas of our lives! Be it our family, lifestyle, or even our studies or jobs! It's time for us to take up this challenge and live out the life God wants us to live by shining for Jesus in all that we do!

I just want to encourage you to live life like a beacon of light on a mountain, where all men can see your light so that they may see your good deeds and praise God! Why should we be like a lighthouse? Because a lighthouse is built firmly on the ground, and it radiates a beacon of light to show the way to the lost and those that needs direction. Hence, we are like a lighthouse too, built firmly on the Word of God, shining out a beacon of light to tell the world about the Hope that God has given us! The world needs direction, and we are to tell the world that Jesus is that direction!

It's time to be a beacon of light and the Light of the World my brothers and sisters in Christ! =)

Pray Authentic Prayers - Talk To God, Not To Anyone Else Who Might Be Listening

Good day brothers and sisters in Christ! It's great to be back here over and over again just to encourage you! The truth is: I feel encouraged when I encourage people =)

Today, I would like to talk about praying to God and not to let people hear you!

From the Bible, the book of Matthew 6:5-8 says, "And when you pray, do not be like hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."

Before we start, I just want to let you know that prayer is very important! Prayer is one of the most beautiful thing God gave us!

Prayer is not just asking, but it's also listening! Many of us pray to God just because we desire for something and wish that God could just use His magic to make it happen for us! Try this, when you pray to God, after telling Him all your desires and wants in life, keep silent for 5 minutes and listen to what He has to say to you. Because you'll be amazed that He actually speaks to you! Prayer is a 2-way thing! You see, when we pray we are talking to God, and God wants to talk to us too! Which is why it's very important to listen to what He says! Remember that part in the Bible that reminds us that believing in God is not a religion, but a relationship? Well yeah, God wants to have a relationship with us therefore we need to listen to what He tells us too =)

Back to my point in the verse, as I have reminded all of us that many people do things with wrong motives, well I want to remind us again! When we pray, we tend to use marvelous and BIG words to impress people! Sometimes we even pray louder than everybody else in the room so that we can be heard! When we do that, we feel great, awesome and it just feels good! I just want you to know that impressing people with prayer isn't right!

What does praying to God means? It means PRAYING TO GOD and ONLY GOD! It's that simple! Praying to God is a personal thing. For me, I would pray in my room with the door locked so that I won't get interrupted while talking to God. I would start of by thanking Him for everything He has done in my life, then proceed to telling Him all my desires and needs, then proceed to praying for those people who needs prayer, then proceed to a silent moment to hear what God has to say to me. Most of the times God speaks to me while I'm telling Him all my desires and needs in life.

No there is no right way to pray, everybody prays uniquely! But if you have no idea how to pray, you can start off by following how I pray. Just don't forget to listen to what He has to say to you!

In conclusion, I just want to encourage you to pray authentic prayers to God! What do I mean by authentic prayers? It means REAL PRAYERS! Not prayers to be heard by other people! When you are praying, remember to talk to God, not to anyone else who might be listening, all the best =)

Love God With Everything & Care For Others

Good day soldiers in Christ! Today, I would like to talk about Luke 10:27!

From the Bible, the book of Luke 10:27 says, "Jesus answered: '...Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind' ; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "

Now, what does it mean to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind? We can always impress people by doing stuffs in church, telling people that we are Christians, and living a double life by being nice in Church and terrible outside of Church. But at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is what God thinks of us!

For example, I can worship lead in my church, lead my camp as a camp commandant, encourage people with Bible verses and even come up with a Christian blog! But if my heart, soul, strength and mind isn't set right before God, I'll be in deep trouble.

I believe that most of us are caught in the act of getting popularity, fame, impressing people, showing off, and all those stuffs that makes us feel good. Most of the time, our motive isn't right! I had a friend who served in Church just because he wanted to spend more time with the girl he likes. The fact is, it's all wrong! Serving in Church is for the Lord, not to get the girl you like!

In the verse, it says that we must love God with our everything! To love God with everything means that your thoughts, actions, words and motives has to be right in God's eyes! John 14:15 says, "If you love me, you will obey what I command." So to love God means to obey everything He says!

I want to encourage you, we might fail over and over again, hence we are sinful creatures! But it don't matter how many times we fail, we must get back to God! His forgiveness is amazing and has lasted through generations to generations, so don't be disappointed when you fail but get back up and go back to God! I myself have failed countless mistakes of time, but I always remind myself that I need to get back to God!

Whenever temptations are near you, the Number 1 Technique to get away from it: Tap God's Strength and Flee away from the temptation! Don't let it linger around you and try to resist it, you'll fail eventually!

Finally, I would like to encourage you to look out for other people the same way you look out for yourself! When you see a friend hurting, go and comfort him/her, talk to him/her! The only way to have a friend is to be a friend! Care for one another! Remind yourself of the times when you were depressed or down, and a friend came by to comfort you and talked with you! I want you to do the same for others =)

In conclusion, I would like to encourage you to commit every ounce of strength in your body, soul and mind to loving God! Don't forget to look out for other people the same way that you look out for yourself! =)
